Tropical Storm Karen – Update # 1

Posted by coreydwilliams on October 3, 2013

Dear Seascape Rental Owner –

Like you, we are carefully monitoring Tropical Storm Karen which is now making its way into the southern Gulf of Mexico.

As of the latest advisory, it appears that our region will see some impact from TS Karen although the exact severity is unknown presently.  We will know quite a bit more by early Friday afternoon.  Despite this uncertainty, our teams have been hard at work prepping the units for any potential impact from this weather system.  As in the past, our teams are removing all patio furniture, etc from the balconies and placing it inside the units.  We are also closing all blinds/curtains and securing all doors and windows.  Our guest services team members are communicating with all in-house guests and taking calls from in-bound guests, allaying concerns and providing real time information.  We anticipate the prep work being done by early afternoon on Friday.

Our teams will be working today and tomorrow to ensure that your property is as protected as it can possible.  I will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.  In the interim, if you have any questions, please email us at one of the following addresses: info@seascape-resort.com or corey@seascape-resort.com .

I will provide a follow up update either later Thursday evening or first thing Friday morning.

Kind regards,

Corey Williams

Rental Update

August 23, 2013

Dear Seascape Rental Owner –

Greetings from beautiful Seascape Resort! I trust this letter finds you and your family well.

It has been an eventful summer season here at Seascape Resort.  The resort has been abuzz with activity for many weeks now and judging by guest response, everyone enjoyed their summer vacation.  Perhaps the most prominent issue we faced this year was RAIN!  July 2013 has been the 2nd wettest July in 73 years with a standing total of 17.48” (the average rainfall for July is around 7.3”)!  And for the year, we up over 12” of rain!  That is a lot of water!  Despite these challenges, it was a solid summer rental season.  Guests enjoyed their accommodations, the beach, the pools and the amenities here on the resort and made the best of their vacation plans.  For those guests that stayed with us during the July 4th week rain event, we have extended an exclusive offer inviting them to come back before the end of the year.  This customer service initiative has been met with warm praise and appreciation.

Looking ahead to the late summer and fall rental campaigns, we are excited to report that August, September and October are all pacing well ahead of the 2012 campaign.  All of the key statistics (phone inquiries, online searches and overall website traffic) indicate that the booking pace will continue.  I am also pleased to report that Seascape Resort was chosen as the host venue for the 4th Annual Vine to Wine Festival on August 23rd.  Vine to Wine is the kick-off event for the Taste of the Beach series.  All proceeds from this event will benefit local children’s charities.  This event features 250+ wines, including all medal winners from Taste of the Beach’s wine judging competition, for guests to sample, alongside culinary delights from signature restaurants.  We are looking forward to this event and to this being our best late summer and fall rental campaign yet!

In the coming weeks, be on the lookout for your first annual unit condition report.  Beginning this year, your property manager will be conducting an end of season evaluation of your rental unit.  This comprehensive inspection process will provide you valuable feedback regarding your unit’s overall condition and will serve as a roadmap for maintaining/improving the unit’s overall condition.  In Destin’s highly competitive vacation rental market, maintaining and improving your unit’s overall condition will provide you a competitive edge and increase your unit’s financial performance.  This process will commence the second week of August so be on the lookout for your annual condition report!

It appears that the real estate market is turning the corner.  Prices are on the rise and the number of sales continues to improve.  Led by Bonnie Hall, the Emerald Sea Realty Group is focused on delivering first-class customer service, insightful analysis of market trends, and helpful feedback to assist you with selling or acquiring property on the resort.  Our position as the only full service property management and real estate sales company on the resort provides us an unparalleled ability to deliver what each homeowner is truly looking for – RESULTS!  Whether you are interested in selling your current unit, purchasing another unit or simply getting more information about the real estate market, the Emerald Sea Realty Group is here to help you!  You can reach Bonnie by calling (877) 424-2638 or via email at bonnie@emeraldsearealtygroup.com.

We are delighted that you have chosen Seascape Resort as your management company and hope you will give our real estate division the opportunity to work for you too!  We are continually reviewing and improving our operations to ensure their service to our overall operational goal – to deliver the BEST property management and real estate services and the BEST return on investment for each of our homeowner partners.

Kind Regards,

Corey Williams
